Since then, a double bill of Netflix documentaries about Victoria and her soccer superstar husband David has given fans a closer look at how the couple has chosen to decorate their different homes, particularly their love for dark green couches. Through each unique environment, Beckham shows that a dark couch doesn't have to be intimidating at all, and can, in fact, be one of the best couch colors. 

Dark green may feel like a daunting color to decorate around, but it is also a timeless, endlessly elegant choice. Different shades of dark green have been trending in interior design for a couple of years now, and its reign is far from being over. In fact, a dark jade green was just elected Color Of The Year for Behr, proving that it will never truly go out of style.

Couches in this color appear in the Beckhams' London townhouse, their Cotswolds country house, and even in the fashion designer's London boutique. A lighter yet equally lush version adds comfort in the couple's walk-in closet. In the first, the couch grounds the light atmosphere of its all-white and neutral surroundings, providing interest and a dash of warmth. In the second, there's less contrast. Instead, it flows seamlessly next to rustic walls of exposed stone, dark curtains, and nearby upholstery in similarly deep shades, for a perfectly English, vintage cottage feel. It's a great example of how dark green can be a perfect moody color for your space if you don't want to use black. 

In Beckham's Dover Street store, the luscious green is used all around for an immersive experience. There, the couches are an understated yet crucial piece of the puzzle that makes the whole space feel textured and enveloping. It was decorated by London-based designer Rose Uniacke, who also worked on the Beckhams' London home. The common thread between all three, as well as the closet's lettuce green sofa, is the lush velvet.
