Flip Or Flop Is Ending And We Think We Know Why
HGTV's "Flip or Flop" has been on for ten seasons and is coming to an end. Hosted by exes Christina Haack, 38, and Tarek El Moussa, 40, who were together when the show began, "Flip or Flop" is one of HGTV's popular home renovation shows. Haack and El Moussa didn't give a real reason as to why the show is ending, but according to New York Post, there's speculation that it has to do with how intimate co-hosting the show has been for them.
Both Haack and El Moussa have their own shows on the network aside from "Flip or Flop." Since 2019, Haack has been hosting her show "Christina on the Coast," and since 2021, El Moussa has been hosting "Flippin 101 with Tarek El Moussa." Moving all their attention to their own shows might be part of the reason why the pair chose to end "Flip or Flop."
The environment became "too intimate"
Haack and El Moussa share two children together, Taylor, 11-years-old and Braydon, 6-years-old who they co-parent. After marrying in 2009, separating in 2016, and divorcing in 2018, both have moved on to new relationships while continuing the show. Haack married Ant Anstead and welcomed her third child in 2019. Then in 2021, they divorced. El Moussa went on to marry Heather El Moussa, the star of Netflix's "Selling Sunset" in 2021.
While the pair have gotten into arguments on set, a source told New York Post the reason for the end of "Flip or Flop" has to do with El Moussa's marriage to Heather. The source pointed out that the situation wasn't ideal, having a former couple who share children hosting a show together while their new partners simply stand by. Another source explained that it was too intimate of a setting for the former couple, and it was time to close that chapter of their lives.
