Singer-songwriter John Legend and his model wife, Chrissy Teigen, married since 2013, found a buyer for their $18 million paired penthouses in the chic Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, New York, as per the New York Post. The two celebrities bought the first, smaller apartment back in 2018 for $9 million and the second for $7.7 million two years later. Legend and Teigen had plans to combine the two penthouse apartments into one massive 6,164-square-foot duplex, but never got around to it as they spend most of their time on the West Coast. As Legend mentioned to The Wall Street Journal, "We're going to focus our home-building energy and renovation energy on what we're doing in L.A."
The penthouses are located at 374 Broome St. in the Brewster Carriage House which holds nine boutique condo units. It was first built in 1900, explains the listing from Douglas Elliman, but in 2012 a conversion was completed to give us the incredible condominium building we are taking a look inside of today.
