Experience

Shannon is a Phoenix-based writer whose work has appeared in Images Arizona Magazine, Phoenix Home & Garden, Luxe, Phoenix New Times, So Scottsdale and The AZ Insider. Raised in a California, her earliest memories include planting gardens alongside her mother, founding a neighborhood newspaper with an old typewriter and carbon paper, and attempting to build forts with scrap wood – none of which met permitting standards. As a writer for House Digest, she enjoys covering a wide range of topics, from gardening and landscaping tips to the latest home decor trends. When she's not writing, Shannon enjoys spending time with family, cooking, exercising, and traveling.

Education

Shannon earned her bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in American literature from Pepperdine University.
